Welcome to Jaz Hands Canine Therapy.
I am a fully insured, qualified, Canine Sports Massage Therapist and I am available to treat your dog. I trained and qualified with The College of Animal Physiotherapy, passing with a distinction.
I am also a member of the IAAT.
I have three Border Terriers, who take part in showing, canicross and during the shooting season, they work beating for a local shoot. I have experience in working with competition horses and working dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping working animals and animal athletes in optimum condition to enable them to perform to the best of their abilities. Having suffered injuries myself, I am aware of the benefits of rehabilitation therapies and massage for ongoing maintenance.
I can treat your dog at my house or in the comfort of your home.
Massage can help to provide a natural pain relief, it can assist with relaxation, reducing stress, anxiety and discomfort. It increases blood supply and circulation, and stimulates the lymphatic system, which helps the body remove toxins, helps improve suppleness, mobility and general well-being.
Sports massage can be beneficial to dogs with a number of conditions, including Osteoarthritis, hip and elbow dysplasia, cruciate ligament injury, Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD), Legge-Calvé Perthes Disease, Spondylitis, Spondylosis and many other conditions.
Recently I have also become a Photizo practitioner - a red light therapy that can help with conditions like arthritis, muscle injuries and spasms and many more.
I have started offering dental treatment to dogs as well. I use the Cleany Teeth Dog Toothbrush, a silent dog toothbrush with ultrasound technology for tartar removal. Effective against plaque, tartar, gum inflammation and bad breath.
